Complaints from Children: The New Police Complaints Procedure
The Research Team has recently completed a research project on complaints from children to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).Prior to this research, very little attention had been paid to the unique situation of child complainants or to the issues which arise for children in making complaints against Police Officers. The project resulted in the publication of a report and will lead to the compilation of information booklets to inform Police Officers about a child’s right to make a complaint.
