Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is looking for an OISC level 3/IAAS level 2 accredited legal adviser to undertake outreach legal advice work for its Migrant Children’s Project. As a key part of the Migrant Children’s Project, this role will involve extensive outreach legal advice work, including appointments at a range of locations across Greater London, with a focus on the London Borough of Ealing. The role will involve providing holistic legal advice on immigration, asylum and nationality; support, accommodation and local authority duties; healthcare; education and related issues to hard-to-reach migrant children, young people, families and carers, as well completing exceptional funding applications and some pro bono casework. The advice work will encompass onward referral and signposting, including to the CCLC’s legal practice unit, other solicitors and other services as appropriate.
The role is part of the Supported Options Initiative, a programme of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Unbound Philanthropy, which supports innovation in helping children and young people with irregular immigration status to live full lives.
