Paralegal/ Legal Advisor - TWO POSTS
1) Maternity Cover - £16,000 pro rata
Part time, 32 hours per week including 1 hour paid lunch break each day. Shifts are 8 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday, between 8am and 8pm.
2) Fixed Term - £16,000
Full time, 40 hours per week including 1 hour paid lunch break each day. Shifts are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm.

Coram Children’s Legal Centre, part of the Coram group of charities, specialises in law and policy affecting children and young people. CCLC provides free legal information, advice and representation to children, young people, their families, carers and professionals, as well as international consultancy on child law and children’s rights.
The Paralegal/ Legal Advisor roles will be within the centre’s Child Law Advice Line service, funded by the Department for Education. The service aims to provide legal information and advice to over 120,000 parents, carers and young people each year. This is provided via a range of mediums including free downloadable factsheets on our website, free access to our virtual assistant which can help locate useful information, and free one to one legal advice with a legally trained advisor via the telephone.
Your primary role will be to advise parents, carers and young people who are experiencing difficulties accessing legal advice and representation in the areas of Family, Child and Education law. You will join a team of experienced legal advisors responsible for providing legal advice via our free telephone helpline. The successful applicant will hold a law degree and ideally have experience of providing advice in a relevant field of law.
