Research and policy

Coram Children's Legal Centre undertakes innovative research in children’s rights, child law and policy in the UK and abroad. Our research projects contribute to the growing body of knowledge on children, children’s rights, child law and policy. Our research is used to influence legal and policy frameworks, promote improved, evidence-based policy formation, and further the practical implementation of children's rights in the UK and around the world. Our research has covered many issues including child protection, juvenile justice, child employment, the right to education, and child protection in complex emergencies.

Through our policy work, Coram Children's Legal Centre's aims to influence policy developments and promote the implementation of children's rights in the UK. We publish policy papers including responses to government consultations on issues related to children's rights and submissions to domestic and international bodies on key children's rights issues.
