Noel Arnold is Director of Legal Practice at Coram Children's Legal Centre, where he has built up the legal representation and litigation work of the charity.
Previously a partner at Philcox Gray & Co, Noel has specialised in family and child law for nearly a decade and is known as an authority in this area. Noel trained with Fisher Meredith LLP where he became deputy head of the children law department and worked in public and private law Children Act proceedings. He started his legal career at Hackney Community Law Centre as a caseworker whilst studying. Noel is a member of the Law Society’s Children Law Accreditation Scheme (Children Panel).
Noel took his LLB (Hons) at King’s College London, and studied post-graduate courses at London Metropolitan University (PgDip Legal Practice in employment law, family law, law relating to children) and Keele University (PgDip Law in gender, sexuality and human rights).
Noel is the author of the Solicitor’s Journal quarterly Family (Children) Update and has published widely on child and family law, including authoring the Law Society's guide to the Children and Families Act 2014. He is a member of many legal bodies, including the Association of Lawyers for Children’s Executive Committee and the Law Society’s Children Law Sub-Committee. Noel is a Visiting Lawyer at Birkbeck School of Law.
Noel was the inaugural winner of the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year children's rights award in 2015.
