In July 2007, CCLC provided technical assistance to UNICEF in Nepal to review the draft Child Act. The project assessed the extent to which the Act is compatible with international standards and the country's international legal obligations, including under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and identified the gaps from a child rights perspective. CCLC also provided recommendations and suggestions for the revised draft of the Act to bring it into compliance with international standards.
