Gemma Smith joined Coram Children's Legal Centre in 2007 as a Legal Secretary for the Legal Practice primarily in the Child and Family Law Department. Gemma has 10 years' experience working in the legal profession, mainly in family and child Law. Before joining CCLC Gemma worked for a busy domestic violence department of a solicitors practice.
In 2010 Gemma qualified as a Specialist Paralegal in Family Law and worked for the Legal Practice for a short time as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal. In October 2010 Gemma became Team Leader for the Child Law Advice Service, which provides legal advice on child, family and education law over the phone and online. Gemma has been the Manager of the Child Law Advice Service since April 2014
