THE CHILDREN’S LEGAL CENTRE'S FAMILY LAW, EDUCATION LAW & ADVOCACY SERVICE SCHEDULE OF COSTS
If you are not eligible for legal aid, the Children's Legal Centre may still be able to assist you with your legal case. The Centre undertakes private client work at the following charges:
Current from 1st January 2009, (Please note all work will be charged in single units of 6 minutes)
| Drafting; Perusal; Supervision, Advocacy and Attendance | £120.00 per hour (plus VAT) |
| Drafting routine letters | £15.00 per letter (plus VAT) |
| Routine telephone calls (in and out) | £15.00 per call (plus VAT) |
| Travel and waiting Mileage
| £75.00 per hour If caseworker using own transport 0.50 pence per mile Public transport costs to be charged to the client |
Disbursements such as experts fees for reports and counsel’s fees to be agreed on an individual basis. The Client will be responsible for meeting the total cost of these disbursements. (plus VAT)
