The Children’s Legal Centre is the UK’s leading provider of education law advice and casework.
Our qualified solicitors, trainee solicitors and paralegals offer advice and representation to children and young people, parents and carers who have concerns relating to their own or their child’s education.
Advice is also provided to advocates and child care professionals, provided there is no conflict of interest with the child or the family.
The department has been awarded a Specialist Quality Mark by the Legal Services Commission.
Typical cases include:
- special educational needs – including appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal;
- exclusion from school – including representation at the Independent Appeal Panel;
- admissions;
- school transport issues;
- disability discrimination;
- bullying;
- human rights;
