Parental Responsibility Questions and Answers

Can a young person make their own decisions?

Can a young person make their own decisions?

If a young person is old enough they are able to make decisions for themselves, such a decision could include their religion. Parents are able to decide what religion their child should be bought up with, however, once the child reaches a certain age they are competent enough to be able to decide what religion they want to follow. They are able to make decisions in their own right. The young person would generally be about 15 years old, but this would depend on the maturity and understanding of the individual young person.
